Experience

36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a West Virginia license or compact license

Stepdown/MedSurg

Previous perm staff must be gone for 2 years before they are eligible to return in a traveler capacity. No exceptions.

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.

Roles requiring a state licensure only: Cannot have any licensure hits

Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks schedule

Holiday Requirement: Rotate/ eve or day

Beds 20

Ratios: Stepdown 1:3 and Floor 1:5-6

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Resp issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, chest pain

Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, aminodarone
