Additional Details:

An interview may not be available prior to offer.

Required Skills/Experience: If they are only IR focused we require 1 year of either IR, ICU, or ER experience. The skillset most needed is GI- will be able to cover the IR portion with perm staff. If the candidate has strong IR experience with no GI will consider as well.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Strongly prefer knowledge of how to tech for GI cases.

Required Credentials:

  • Procedural Sedation Certified to manage airways (this must be obtained within hiring window, they will receive during orientation).
  • Required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Unit and facility details:

  • This is a unique hybrid position of GI and IR. They generally only do 3 GI cases per day in the afternoons which is why this is a dual role with IR in order to fill hours. They would be covering IR/procedural sedation in the AM and GI in the PM.
  • GI: Travelers will be primarily a circulator unless they know how to tech for GI cases which is strongly preferred-if needed will operate in this roll if experienced. Will NOT need to do preop or recovery.
  • IR: circulating and procedural sedation.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Monday - Friday.
  • Call: GI coverage M-F 4p-8a, and Sat-Sun 7a to 8a (25hr).
  • Will take 1 holiday during contract (if there are holidays during contract).

Floating Requirements: May float to a sister hospital.

Other Requirements: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
