Requirements

Experience

18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Operating Room experience is preferred with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Guaranteed Hour: 40

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes, only with 2+ years of experience

Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler

Case Types:

Ortho, Podiatry, Neurosurgical, Pain Management, ENT
Total joints, ORIF, Microsurgery, Laminectomy, Fusion, Discectomy, ACDF, Perc TAL for Club foot, Pain injections, ENT

Education Requirements: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Skills required: Circulation experience in Ortho/Neuro cases; ENT case experience

Floating: Potential to float to Rapid City hospital OR, if needed

Orientation: 1st day computer training; 2-3 days of training with a preceptor

Weekend rotation: N/A

Call is once per week just till cases are complete

Holiday Expectations: 2/4 major holidays (NY, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th)

Approval of time off: Seek approval from Manager (Manager Interview)
