Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience with 6 months within the past 12 months.
Trauma Level 3 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license

Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Preferred)

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- • Experience in L&D, LDRP and PP care. Must be able to manage a 3 couplet assignment.
- • Triage of obstetrical patients, Use of EFM ( External Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- • Start & Maintain Peripheral IV
- • Administer Antihypertensives and Insulin drips
- • Assist with vaginal delivery
- • Recover C-Section
- • APGAR scores, Baby Nurse ( “Baby Catcher”), Collect cord samples, ID/Security Banding, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation
- • Newborn Assessment
- • Epidural Anesthesia / Pain assessment & management
- • Postpartum care and Procedures as well as M/B postpartum care
Preferred Skills/Experience: Level 1 Nursery, Mother/Baby, Circulate for C-Sections
Shift & Scheduling:
• Rotating Shifts- Self Scheduling.
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week.
