Additional Details:
Nurses Only - BMC does not have telemetry technicians. Candidates are required to take and pass an advanced Dysrhythmia exam after an offer is extended and before accepting. 3 attempts to pass. Passing score is an 80% or the minimum of the angoff score. Will accept a previously completed exam if it's within 1 year of start date. Will also take a tele test day 1 of orientation.
Prefer 1 reference from last travel assignment. Supervisor title not accepted.
Every 3rd weekend as needed and every 3rd holiday as needed.
No call.
May float to Moakley PACU if needed.
Required Exp: 2+ years PACU experience - must have strong PACU phase 1 recovery large complex cases neuro, thoracic, vascular, and ortho spine.
Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
Must Be Able To Independently Read And Interpret Telemetry Rhythm(Space)strips And Identify Heart Blocks Required.
Must pass Tele test on day 1 with 84% or better.
Case types include: Trauma, Pediatrics, Ortho, General, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology (IR), Neuro (IR), Electrophysiology (EP) Cases.
Average number of cases per day ranges from 30-60 and the unit is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
BLS: AHA is preferred.
