Guaranteed Hour: 48
Patient Types: Highly Progressive/Acute Respiratory Care - Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, Neonatal Critical Care, and general inpatient respiratory care,
Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that – NRP cert required
Busy, fast-paced department
Skills required: Critical Care, General respiratory care experience
Floating: RT Coverage throughout hospital and ED
Will not float to other facilities, unless hired for that specifically
Orientation: (facility and unit) Rapid City Hospital, Respiratory Care Department
Weekend rotation: Every other
Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? Dependent on facility/job requisition
Will any other facilities have call requirements? Generally not unless it’s planned for events like the Rally at Rapid City Hospital. At Spearfish and Sturgis hospitals, we have call, so yes if we had needs there.
Holiday Expectations: Work on holidays that fall within contract dates
