Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Oncology Unit experience.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license

Additional Details:

BMT / ONC

Previous Employment Requirements:

• One reference must be from employment within the last year.

• Both References must be from Charge RN, Manager, Supervisor, or above.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Two year acute care BMT or heme/onc experience.

• First-timers accepted as long as they have two years BMT or heme/onc experience; Epic experience required.

• Oncologic Emergencies, Acute Tumor Lysis Syndrome (ATLS), Anaphylaxis, Hemorrhage, Sepsis, Spinal Cord Compression, IV Therapy/ Infusions, Administration of blood & blood products, Care and management of ports, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Bone Marrow Transplant, Administration of bone marrow, Graft-versus-host disease, Chemotherapy, Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values, Symptom management, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy, Inpatient oncology, Chest tube care and management, Neutropenic precautions.

Preferred Credentials:

• ONC Certificate

• Chemo Cert - ONS or ONCC

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Blood cancers who are receiving chemo/biotherapies and cellular therapies such as stem cells transplants and CAR-T.

Unit/Facility Details:

• 36 bed unit (soon to expand to 51 beds)

• Proof of Identification: Drivers License/State ID

Special Requests:

• No blocked scheduling requests.

• RTO is not allowed during the following time period (We MAY consider flexibility for harder to fill positions):

  • August 27th - September 10th, 2025
  • October 22 - November 3, 2025
  • November 24 - December 1, 2025
  • December 21 - January 3, 2026

Shift & Scheduling:

• Rotating Days (07:00 - 19:00) and Nights (19:00 - 07:00)

• Days of the Week: Various Days

• Weekend Requirement: Per Unit Needs

• Weekend Coverage: Every Other

• No on-call requirements.

Floating Requirements: Traveler will need to float within scope/between like units to meet facility needs.
