Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license

NIHSS (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills / Experience: Experience with Chest Tubes, Pain Management, TPN, CBI, Wounds

Charge nurse experience

Special Requests: References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

May have to work charge if they have the experience

Shift & Scheduling: No self scheduling - do work with travelers on block scheduling (accommodate as much as possible)

Travelers will fill in gaps of first schedule

Weekend Requirements: Generally every 3rd weekend but may be more based on need- they just ask for flexibility

Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd holiday - please expect to work one of the winter holidays.

On-Call: No Requirement; Will only give if they have requested to have their scheduled shift off or if they volunteer to cancel.

Floating Requirements: Can float to PCU-taking MedSurg overflow or very low acuity PCU patients.
