Special Requests: No Block Scheduling requests. Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.
Required Skills/Experience: Charge Experience. Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, Safety rounding. Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment. Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies.
Unit/Facility Details: Number of Beds : LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite. Patient Ratios : 1:1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3, newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are
Equipment Used on Unit: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps.
Technology Used on Unit: Documentation system: Meditech and CPN
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating weekend and holidays, PRN’s to complete.
Floating Requirements: Regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU
Required Credentials: Certifications: Joint Commission, Stoke Center, Level II Trauma, Level II NICU
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: -sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries.
