Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 12 months.

Experience with MEDHOST is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license

Additional Details:

A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend unless there is a need and will be scheduled more than every other weekend; Call Requirements: Yes, Depending on census, staff is placed on call or floated

Floating Requirements: Yes, to medical detox, ICU, OB or ER (Task assignments for OB and ER), will take low level medsurg overflow patients in ICU with ratio of 1:3

Equipment Used on Unit: Welch Allyn vital machines, masimno at bedside in every room, careview, telemetry, sara stedy, ARJO lift.

Types of Patients on Unit: Geriatric, adults, typically only have 3-4 peds patients per year
