Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience within the past 12 months.
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license

Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.

If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up

Shift & Scheduling: Min of 8 weekend shifts per 6 weeks. Holiday Requirements: Yes, if holiday falls on scheduled days.

Unit Details: Avg. Daily Census: 24-30. Rooms/Beds: 30.

Required Skills/Experience: Use of Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Ortho trauma, External CPAP/BIPAP, Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac

Floating Requirements: Float within service line and all MSI units. Floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed– they would need both Kansas and Missouri or compact in hand at time of submission. The unwillingness to do so will result in a cancel.

Types of Patients on Unit: Acute med surg status with emphasis on rehab services

Equipment Used on Unit: Lift equipment available
