All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
Cannot be currently or recently (within 6 months) employed with network - Must have left in good status, if former employee.
ER profiles must include the size of the facility / # beds and the Trauma Level designation (if any)
Orientation for all Oregon facilities is in Portland, OR for RN, LPN and CNAs.
Required Skills/Experience: Special requirements: This is a PACU and Pre-Anesthesia Combined Unit. The applicant must be proficient in pre-anesthesia and post anesthesia care. Patient Ratios: Providence Seaside has a blended (combined) pre-anesthesia/PACU Department. In Blended Postanesthesia Care: Perianesthesia units may provide Phase I, Phase II, and/or Extended Care within the same environment. This may require the blending of patients and staffing patterns. In the blended environment, the perianesthesia registered nurse uses clinical judgment based on patient acuity, nursing observations, and required interventions (care based on preoperative interventions and type of procedure) to determine staffing needs in the pre-anesthesia environment in alighnment with recognized standards (ASPAN) and state staffing regulations. Skills: Ambulatory/Outpatient, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Pre-Post, Pre/Post Op Care of the Patient, Discharge Instructions, Medication reconciliation, Obtain Operative/Procedural Consent, Pre-op Assessment, Pre-Op Medications, Pre/Post Endoscopy procedures, Pre/Post Operative procedures, Review History and Physical, Interpretation and communication of lab values, Isolation Precautions, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain assessment & management.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Community Hospital Experience. Skills: Follow up phone calls, Pre-op Education.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. ID: Drivers License/State ID, Government-Issued Photo ID. Cert: ACLS, PALS, BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission.
Shift & Scheduling: Is on-call required: Yes typically 2 days a week plus some weekends on rotation. Are weekends required: Yes Call Shift rotation Friday 0630- 0630 Monday.
Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
