Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have have EVD and trach/vent experience
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: RNs required to titrate drips
RNs read and interpret their own strips
Types of Patients on Unit: Trach/vent, DKA, respiratory, surgical (trachs, g-tubes, shunts, hernia repairs, seizures) no cardiac.
Equipment Used on Unit: RT Equipment: Vent, bubble CPAP, BiPAP.
Unit/Facility Details: October or December Starts
Number of Beds: 12 (in summer census is around 4, and winter months 6)
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed
Work with the scheduler to schedule
Will allow up to 5 shifts in a block schedule if meets unit needs.
Weekend Requirement: 5 shifts in 6 weeks
Holiday Requirement: Potentially - expect to work at least 1 during a contract
On-Call: No
Floating Requirements: First to float; floating to peds/NICU/and sitting
Peds for full assignment, frequent floating. May float for a mandatory patient sitter assignment as well.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: The facility may make one off exceptions if previously employed at the facility, but exceptions must be approved by St. Luke’s Health System
