Travel Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

Comfortable with age range of Birth to 2 years.

Weekend req: Every other

Orientation Hours: 48

Patient Age Groups: Neonates

Daily Census: 18

Patient Diagnoses:

• Prematurity
• RDS
• Hypoglycemia
• Hyperbilirubinemia
• Other diseases of the newborn
• NICU Level III care. Working with various resp support (High Flow, CPAP, Vents, Oscillators etc) can work with drips, lines, start IV’s, 23 wks – post dates, etc. If they can do PP and or Newborn role at delivery is a bonus!

RTO: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD)

Background Policy to be noted prior to submission: Must disclose license/BG hits up front at time of submission. No open license hits will be approved.

Return Staff Policy– can return after 3 months

Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.

BLS - Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation only

NRP - AAP, AHA or Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).
