Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have acute care experience and comfort with complex patients. Must have experience with drips.
  • RN's required to titrate drips: Insulin, heparin, Cardizem, nitro, amiodarone; octreotide. Also blood transfusions (must be comfortable managing and titrating drips as needed).

Required Credentials:

  • References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
  • Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Special Requests: Duo's are okay: cannot guarantee same shifts.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float, within med-surg units; out of med surg only for observer need or helping hands/ tasking (floating done in 4 hour increments).
