Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience.
Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license
Certifications

NIHSS (Required)
Vaccinations

Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have MO license and is in the process of applying for KS license (+ vice-versa) or must have a compact licensure to apply.

If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up

Required Skills/Experience: 1 to 2 years’ Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, IV insulin protocols, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Surgical drains, Thymo titration

Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Req: 8 Weekend Shifts In Saint Luke’s 6-week Schedule Period, Combination Of F/S/S.
