Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

All BSA contracts are 48 hours per week, although not guaranteed.

All travelers must be prepared to care for COVID patients if assigned.

Previous Employment Requirements: Former perm staff must be gone 1 year before can return as traveler.

Required Skills/Experience: Skills: Isolation Precautions Wound Care/Wound Vac Work Settings Med/Surg Respiratory Nasal Cannula Non-invasive airway management IV therapy/Phlebotomy Peripheral Line Care/Management Orthopedics.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Skills: Total Joint Replacements.

Required Credentials: Cert: BLS - AHA, ARC, RQI, or American Safety and Health Institute.

Types of Patients on Unit: Medical Surgical and Orthopedic patient population. Adults, Geriatrics.

Unit/Facility Details: 35 beds on unit. Free proximal covered parking. Telemetry is monitored in a centralized unit. Proof of ID: Drivers License/State ID Required.

Special Requests: In the first 8 weeks there cannot be more than 3 days of RTO requested. After those 8 weeks they are flexible. No travel pairs will be considered. Block Scheduling: Case by case. Local discounted hotels available. No RTO on holidays.

Shift & Scheduling: Must work 2 out of 3 holidays if needed.

Floating Requirements: To units of equal or lesser acuity.
