Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

Certifications

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.

Adult only Ms/Tele RN.

Start Date: 8/11, 8/18.

Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend.

6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks per contract.

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Accepts 1st time travelers

Skills Required: Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias.

Patient Diagnosis: Diabetes, congestive heart failure, infection, sepsis, COPD, general surgery (kidney stones, appendectomy, minor amputations), sickle cell crisis, GI bleed, diverticulitis, general medicine/observation Special Procedures/Unit Details: Most surgical cases are placed on our unit. Large orthopedic program (total joints), colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, bariatric surgery. Although the unit accommodates pediatric patients on that unit, travelers are not expected to hold PALS certification or care for pediatric patients. The Telemetry unit is adult only.

Special Equipment: Patient lifts (ceiling and portable), CADD pump, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, capnography

Scrubs Not Provided: Caribbean Blue

RTO must be on the submittal and cannot be changed once the profile has been sent to the manager for review. Please ensure all RTO is for the full 13 weeks for each submittal Amount of RTO: Please, no more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract - highly preferred. No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment..

Travelers are not expected to hold PALS certification or care for pediatric patients. Adult MS tele only.
