Requirements
Experience
36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 36 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
References
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license

Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Annual Skills Checklist is required for submission and can't expire during the expected contract dates.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • RNs required to titrate drips: Pitocin, mag, occasional Insulin drips.
  • RN would be expected to read tele in Phase 1 recovery for c-section only (not a hard stop).

Types of Patients on Unit: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, pre E Pregnancy, accept 23+ weeks; Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes, No cardiac intervention- they will take occasional higher risk patients, Post partum vaginal and c-section deliveries, hysterectomy, bladder repairs, mastectomies

Unit Details:

  • L&D Beds: 7 L&D
  • Postpartum beds: 12 Postpartum, 8 Surgical
  • OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 1 C-Section dedicated OR, 2 GYN surgical OR
  • Triage beds: 3 bay triage (avg 17 patients/ month) allow travelers to triage based on experience
  • Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? L&D: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 couplets, 1:3-4 surgical/medical

Special Requests: Will work with block scheduling.

Previous Employment Requirements: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend Requirements: every third
  • Holiday Requirements: as needed

Floating Requirements: Peds MS, NICU- feeder-growers or could float to med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands - first to float
