Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2 years experience in Med Surg, Tele, Med/Tele

1st time traveler accepted with at least 3 years of Nursing experience

Must be able to comfortably/confidently read EKG/ECG including all Tele related duties/responsibilities (rhythm strips, dysrhythmia reads)

Required Credentials: Two-day class (6-8 hrs each day) called Identifying Cardiac Dysrhythmias. Must pass test. Then annually complete an educational module (Cornerstone) that has test questions embedded. Need to pass the module.

Skills checklist (must have been completed within 1 year of submission date)

Special Requests: Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend including holiday rotation
