Requirements

Experience

36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 36 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience: Experience titrating medications, assisting perfusionists, drawing labs, assisting anesthesia with lines. Setting up IV medications and programming pumps.

Types of Patients on Unit: CABG, Valve replacements, TAVR support for the Cath Lab, Trachs, Thoracotomy, VATS, pericardial window, sternotomy, Pleurodesis, etc. - "Neuro, total joints, major vascular, hearts, general, Gyn, urology, plastics, & a small amount of podiatry. - They do NOT do anything ophthalmology or bariatrics cases."

Unit Details: Suites 10 OR rooms: Room 1 - neuro cases; Rooms 4 & 7 - total joint implants; Room 5 - major vascular; Room 6 - dedicated for hearts (Note: it is directly across the hall from the Cath lab); Room 10 - Robotics; remaining rooms are for general surgeries, GYN, urology, plastics.

Special Requests: No Duos

Shift & Scheduling:

Weeknight & Weekend/Call Requirement: Call is usually 2-3 times per week.
Weekend call is Fri-Sun every 3rd weekend starting Friday at the end of CV cases and ending Monday at 0630
Weeknight call starts at 2pm-630am
Holiday/Call Requirement: Rotating call with other CVOR RNs depending on number of staff
30 minutes call response time

Floating Requirements: Floating is expected between all OR rooms - first to float.
