Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

BSN completion preferred

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license

Additional Details:

PCU/Stepdown - Required

Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48

Must pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)

Required to work every other weekend/major holiday

Patient Population: Heart block, Chronic Cardiac, chest tubes

Scrubs: Navy blue, white, or any combination of the two colors.

Float: May float to other units to help with stepdown patients

6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting - Preferred

Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids

May be exposed to human blood and other potentially infectious materials

Patient Population: Adults(18-64 years) Geriatrics (65 years and older)
