Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Cardiovascular Operating Room experience.

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal defect repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral Cannulation, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), CVOR

Preferred Skills/Experience: Atherectomy, Cardiomyoplasty, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, MAZE Procedure, PDA, TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement), Lobe resection, Mediastinoscopy, Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: $125/month

Special Requests: Must scrub cardiac surgery independently & circulate

Shift & Scheduling: Will take 3x12s or 2x12s and 2x8s per week; 7a-3:30p or 10:45a-7:15p

Weekend: Two 24 hr calls per schedule

On-call: 2 calls per M-F week (either 7p-11p or 7p-7a) with 1 day per week available to stay late.
