Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

3 months of experience with RPMS (Resource and Patient Management System) is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license

PALS (Required)

Vaccinations

Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year pediatric experience

Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients

Required Credentials: Flu declinations accepted on condition traveler wears a mask at all times.

15-minute call response time for all units with a call requirement.

Shift & Scheduling: Typical schedule is 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next, plus up to 1 on-call shift/week. Must be flexible and open to days, weekends, and holidays as needed. Maximum of two (2) Shift Call offs.

Floating Requirements: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc
