Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Oncology Unit experience.

3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Administration of chemotherapy Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy IV push administration of chemotherapy Monitor chemotherapy Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values Work Settings

Infusion Center Psychosocial Care Patient/Family education and support

Preferred Skills/Experience: Inpatient oncology* Outpatient oncology*

Required Credentials: Chemo (ONS/ONCC).

Types of Patients on Unit: PT Age Group: Adults.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Main patient populations include GI, GU, thoracic, head & neck, hematologic malignancies, benign hematology. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration (IV, IM, SQ, intravesicular).

Special Requests: Block Schedules: No. Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request. RTO: must be included with submission.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday. Weekend REQ: Yes , CALL x1 Saturday per month 0800-1300. On-Call REQ: Yes, CALL x1 Saturday per month 0800-1300.
