Required Skills/Experience: Comfortability working a 48hr/week contract – this is not negotiable for this unit. ICU RN qualified to float to ED. PCU RN qualified to float to ICU. Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Impella, IABP and CRRT – strongly preferred.
Required Credentials: Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing NURSYS
Unit/Facility Details: Beds: 39 – MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU – mixed unit- All one ICU divided into pods- would not float into CVICU side unless experienced in that unit/specialty Minimal Experience: 2 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel experience is most preferred. If they have 1.5 years of ICU experience EXCLUDING travel and have significant RN experience outside of ICU, please have CRT send to management team for approval. Will you accept a first-time traveler? No. Minimum one prior travel assignment.
Special Requests: Holiday Expectations: No RTO during holidays Approval of time off? Up to 7 days – must extend to accommodate a full 13-week contract. No RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (first 3 weeks in August every year).
Shift & Scheduling: Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other-but not guaranteed Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No
Floating Requirements: Floating: If yes, where? Not common unless overstaffed. Could float to any adult floor – including Medsurg/Tele with 1:4 ratio.
