Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is preferred from any number of months.

Must have at least 36 months of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license

ACLS (Preferred)

ECMO (Preferred)

Vaccinations

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Experience in cardiac critical care

IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Administration of blood & blood products Central line blood draw Central Line/Implanted Line Care PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs
Respiratory: Care of Ventilated Patient Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) Suctioning (ETT, NT) Ventilator Management
Neurologic: ICP monitoring
Professional Topic and Skills: Infection control/PPE Vaccine Administration Wound assessment/care

Shift & Scheduling: Every other Weekend

Floating Requirements: To Pediatric ED, NNICU, inpatient departments, and Wini 1 (psych) as needed.
