Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience within the past 4 years.

Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Massachusetts license

CVICU Float Pool

Guaranteed Hours 36

This would be critical care (ICU) shifts would be D/N rotation 12 hour shifts 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am with every other weekend. 2 Positions are available as straight NIGHTS!

They would need to have competencies in devices Impellas, CVVH, IABP, and LVADs within the past 6 months. - MUST be listed on profile

Will float to all 6 ICUs and Pratt 8 our Cardiomyopathy IMC unit.

Nurse: Patient Ratios 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Varies on each unit all critical care and IMC level of care on Pratt 8- Level 1 trauma acute patients.

Weekend Requirements: Every other

Holiday Requirements As needed we do expect them to be available for one major winter and one major summer

Call or standby requirement: No

Floating Requirements: ICU float Pool can float between 2 units each shift - each shift will be different

Scrub Color: No color preference- not allowed to wear other facility logos

How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 3 shifts to orient and will walk them to all units to get familiarized with location

Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement.
