Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Skills / Experience: 2 years ICU experience; excluding travel experience is most preferred

Experience with the above-mentioned patients - Complex ICU Patients (surgical, medical, neuro and trauma, ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma

Experience with IV medications (vasopressors, sedation, paralytics), hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, telemetry, strong critical thinking and assessment skills, working well in team setting, comfortable in fast pace setting with all critical patients

Preferred Skills / Experience: Cardiac experience (CABG/TAVR)

Impella, IABP and CRRT

Required Credentials: Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South

Floating Requirements: ICU RN qualified to float to ED

Could float to any adult floor – including Medsurg/Tele with 1:4 ratio. Confirm traveler comfortability during interview
