Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

BSN completion preferred

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license

ACLS (Preferred)

Required Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Mastectomy, Surgical drains, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Large orthopedic program (total joints), colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, bariatric surgery.

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend coverage required

Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: 6 in 6 weeks
