Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
Must have at least 24 months of Progressive Care Unit experience within the past 3 years.
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: EKG exam - must pass during orientation Must read and interpret strips.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Lumbar puncture assistance, arterial lines, central lines, tracheotomy patients, lumbar drains, IV start skills, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, various intravenous drips ie. cardiac, insulin, heparin, and cardiac monitoring. Stroke (Ischemic/Hemorrhagic), Seizure, Brain Tumor, Complex Neuro-spine surgery, SAH/SDH, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre, Encephalopathy, Laminectomies, Transverse Myelitis.

Types of Patients on Unit: Acute Stroke management (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH, etc.) o Post Neuro-surgical management (craniotomy, ventriculostomy, complex neuro-spine) o Seizure management (epilepsy, post-ictal and pseudo-seizures) o (Multiple Sclerosis) o (Guillain-Barre)

Special Requests: No blocked scheduling

ALL RTO must be given prior to assignment confirmation

Shift & Scheduling: 6 weekend shifts within a 6 week schedule
