Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
12 months of Trauma Level 2 facility is required from the last 2 years
3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 2 references from any number of months in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Recent experience at a level 1 trauma center is required.

No block scheduling.

On call: Yes

Must have telemetry experience. Must have surgical experience.

Shift: D/N Rotation

Going guarantee 36 hours / week

Surgical unit must have experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal and general surgery.

The most common diagnoses on their unit: ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, sepsis

Would they expect the traveler to float: yes

Required Experience:

  • Chest tubes
  • Tubes
  • Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
  • Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
  • Trachs/Laryngectomies
  • Complex wounds
  • Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws
