Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Additional Details:

BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Medications, Continuous IV sedation, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response; Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy/Phlebotomy; Starting and maintaining IVs; Triage, Respiratory; Ventilated patients
• Special Requirements: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, post cardiac arrest hypothermia, intubations, code strokes, code stemi's, code blue team, trauma patient's, pediatric patient's and transfers, sexual assaults, mental health patients board until we can find appropriate placement.

Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Equipment Used on Unit: Special Requirement: Rapid infuser, hypothermia, Glidescope, bedside cardiac monitoring, ultrasound, infant warmer.

Unit Details: Parking Cost: None

Previous Employment Requirements: Permanent employees at must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.

Special Requests: Not open to accommodating block schedule

Shift & Scheduling:

• Start date: 3-4 weeks per compliance tier, biweekly starts
• Every other weekend

Floating Requirements: May float between Belleville and East as well as inpatient floors if needed.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
