Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
Trauma Level 1 experience is required from any number of months
Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Mississippi license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience at a larger facility with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients, must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes.
- RNs required to titrate drips: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit; cardiac drips on 3 south only.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Hem/Onc and chemo experience preferred.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Hours: 7p-7a.
- Every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department.
- Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff.
Floating Requirements: Within skillset, all staff float between all MedSurg units. Higher acuity patients would be given to core staff.
Other Requirements: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
