24 months of Neurologic Intensive Care Unit experience is required from last 3 years.

Additional Details:

Every Other Weekend

Must have experience in ICP or ventric experience

Inpatient RN travelers must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to.

Telemetry: Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. A score of 80% or higher is required

Nurses will provide intensive care to patients who are acutely ill from a neurological deficit

This unit specialized in subarachnoid hemorrhages, un-stables ischemic and hemorrhage strokes, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury.

Patient Population: The Neuroscience ICU will provide nurses the opportunity to work with severe neurological, neurovascular and neurosurgical populations.

Floating: Travelers are the first.

The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.

Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite

Other transportation options are available: bus, park & ride, private parking, etc.

RTO Requirements: Manager will review/approve during candidate review process.

Generally, all job postings will state that weekend rotations and some holidays will be required

Orientation Schedule: UWH orientation is held every other week – typically on a Monday

Travelers will orient at 600 Highland Ave, room F8/170 (subject to change)

Orientation is typically about one week
