Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience.
References
Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

Required Skills/Experience:
- Required Skills: Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line management, Assist/maintain chest tube, Assist/manage intubation, BiPAP/CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care, Ventilator Management, Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Continuous Sedation, IV vasopressors, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Isolation Precautions, PICU, do NOT pass for any missing requirements, See Special Equipment.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Prefers close to 2 year's experience.
- 2 years of CVPICU or PICU exp required- HARD STOP REQUIREMENT. 2 years experience in a pediatric hospital.
- Starting and maintaining IVs*, Congenital Heart Disease/Repair*, ECMO*, Post Cardiac catheterization*, Post cardiac surgery*, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Pediatric CVICU*.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend Coverage: Every Other.
Floating Requirements:
- Floating is required for most positions.
- Will float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas.
- Float Required: PCU, NICU, PICU.
