Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend 1 per month. On-Call 1/week though it's no usually that often anymore.
Types of Patients on Unit: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: All service lines except CV.

General OR and Trauma experience
Bariatric Case Experience: Laparoscopic assisted cases.
General Surgery Case Experience: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple.
Neurology Case Skills/Experience: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion.
Orthopedic Case Skills/Experience: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction of fractures, Open reduction of fractures.
Plastic Surgery Case Skills/Experience: Free Flap - Microvascular.
Transplant Skills/Experience: Organ donation.
Urology Case Skills/Experience: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy.
Trauma Case Skills/Experience: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries).
Emergency management Skills/Experience: Code response, Fire safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia.
Equipment/Instrumentation/Supplies Experience: Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables.
Professional Knowledge and Skills: Administration of blood products, Infection control, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Urinary bladder catheterization.
Equipment Used on Unit: Basic - Hoyer, Bladder Scanner Is Used On The Unit.
Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation.
Previous Employment Requirements: Any PERM or PRN employee of Memorial must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler
