Does RN need to know how to read tele strips: Yes
Top diagnosis/procedures: Respiratory/ Renal Common equipment used: Vent, CRRT NxStage, Echo, Aritic Sun, EV1000, PCA pumps Does RN need to be able to titrate medication? Yes Common medications given: Propofol, Precedex, Fentanyl, Cardizem, Digoxin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Amiodarone, Norephinephrine, Vasopressin, Epinephrine, Phenylephrine
Patient Population: Medical ICU - Heavy respiratory patients/ Renal patients/Cardiac patient
Required Skills:
- Airway/Bipap/Airvo/Vent management
- Vaso/cardiac/sedation drips-titration per MAR
- EKG interpretation
- Familiar with and care of Arterial line/Central line/Femoral lines
- We do TTM with the Artic Sun/ CRRT with Next Stage/ IABP/ ECHO for PE
- IV insertion
- Blood draws
- A-line management
- CVP
- IABP Sheath removal
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Epicardial pacer management
- Procedural sedation
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Ventilators
- Trach Care
- Rapid Infuser Epidural/PCA pump
- Feeding tubes
- Continuous bladder irrigation
