Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.
• Level 1 hospital experience within the last year.
• Cardiac Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line care/management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Cardiovascular, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, Plastics, Surgical drains, Medications, Titrate Cardiac drips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Conscious Sedation and Telemetry.

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Shift & Scheduling: Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract. Candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals. Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s near by.
