Requirements

Experience

24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

12 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.

Must have at least 24 months of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a Arkansas license or compact license

Additional Details:

Nicotine free campus. Must test negative.

No Self Scheduling.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Sun, No on call requirements, Every other weekend is required, Holidays required, as needed.

Preferred Skills/Experience: BMT Transplant experience, Biotherapy Provider is preferred

Unit Details: 26 beds

Ratios: 1:3-4. Travelers are usually not assigned to a 1:1 patient.

Floating Requirements: To other pediatric units, Traveler are first to float.

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Fever, Neutropenia, Chemotherapy Admission, Solid Tumor, Sarcoma, Leukemia, Chronic Pain Crisis, New Diagnoses, Palliative,IV Meds: Blood transfusion, Antibiotics, Stem Cell, IV fluids Types of Pediatric Surgery: resections, ports, etc.

Types of Patients on Unit: Age range of patient population is 0-21 years.
