Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+)
- EVD experience
- Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience.
Required Credentials:
- Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting. 2 attempts, if failed, DNU for 6 months with CS AZ and Sac Region.
- All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED.
Types of Patients on Unit: Any patient that would qualify for critical care with a neuro diagnosis. Hospital does cranis, brain tumor removal and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries and scoliosis repair.
Unit Details: Beds 32 beds
Special Requests: *Travel Teams must have their own vehicles
Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
Floating Requirements: Can be float to MS Tele / Tele floors; Required to float between all ICU floors. Will get a patient load of 4:1 on tele. 1st to float
