Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 10 months of Step Down Unit experience.

Diploma completion required

Candidates must provide 2 references from within the past 2 years in order to be considered for this role

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience with cardiac drips (amiodarone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, milrinone, etc.).

• Must know how to interpret heart rhythms.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with VAD, care of post open heart, cath, vascular surgery, and cardiac patients.

Required Credentials:

• All nurses have successfully completed an ECG interpretation course.

• Diploma of Nursing.

Preferred Credentials: BSN.

Unit/Facility Details: Stepdown Float.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements: Floating to CVSU, Cardiopulmonary, Heart and Vascular Step Down, Comp Med Step down, and Cardiology Tele Step down.
