Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Travel experience is required from any number of months.

24 months of Endoscopy experience is required.

BSN completion required

Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months

Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.

References

Candidates must provide 2 manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role

License

Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license

ACLS (Required)

Vaccinations

COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Shift & Scheduling:
Please keep in mind when listing your start date availability, if you can start the day Monument Health is requesting, you are more likely to be selected for an interview or offer.
Shifts that traveler would rotate through are: 0630-1500, 0730-1600, 0830-1700, 0900-1800
Weekend rotation – every 3rd weekend
Will they be on call? Yes – one overnight per week 7p-7a and every 3rd weekend. 15 min response time
Holiday Expectations: 2/4 major holidays
Required Skills/Experience:
Endoscopy (to include advanced – EUS (Endoscopic US), EBUS (Endobronchial US), ERCP
Anesthesia provides sedation
Types of Patients on Unit:
Upper & Lower Endoscopy (to include advanced – EUS (Endoscopic US), EBUS (Endobronchial US), ERCP
EGD and Colon
Pre and Post Recovery (Phase I and Phase II) with some ICU level care needed.

Special Requests: Expect someone with a 501 or 605 area code to reach out to interview you for this position.

Floating Requirements:
As needed (PreOp/PACU/Floor) – if floated out of peri-op services, will be as helping hands
Will not be floated to Main OR as Primary RN

Equipment Used on Unit: ON robot – robotic assisted Brochoscopy, Omnicell, Alaris

Previous Employment Requirements: Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
