Requirements
Experience
24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
References
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 charge/lead reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Idaho license or compact license
Certifications
BLS (Required)
Vaccinations
Flu vaccination required. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be proficient with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, drain management, professional communication.
  • RNs are still required to be able to read strips.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with CBIs and foley management preferred.

Required Credentials:

  • Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Unit and facility details: Travelers may be charge if needed and they have experience.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other but may be more often if there is a need.
  • Holiday Requirement: Will fill in if there is a need.

Floating Requirements: Floating to like units between our local hospitals- Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center is required. Travelers are first to float. Med/surg floats to med/surg units when needed. Not super common.
