Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months.
24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
References
Candidates must provide 1 reference from within the past 3 years in order to be considered for this role
Candidates must provide 1 manager/supervisor reference from within the past 12 months in order to be considered for this role
License
Candidates must have a Minnesota license

Guaranteed Hours 36

Manager does schedule, (send RTO prior), block scheduling allowed depending on needs

Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend- Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Holiday Requirement: Facility rotation, every 3rd holiday

Beds: 25

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Heavy ortho post op. hips, knees, spine, shoulder, GYN- open,, general post op, pneumonia, orthopedics, CHF, COPD, weaknesses, geriatric population- multiple comorbidity exacerbation rare peds under 18- pain control post op-monitored overnight

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Proficient in IV- start own IVs on unit, orthopedics

Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, (prefer-insulin, Cardizem, Levophed, Dopamine- per manger if no drips ok, core staff can assist)

Nurses to be able to read tele.

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Navy blue, scrub jacket Navy, any color and print for under shirts
