No Block Scheduling requests Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.
Cannot have an employment gap of more than 90 days (regardless of reason) in the past 12 months.
Patient Ratios :1:1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3, newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are.
Scheduling requirements: FT 3 shifts per week., rotating weekend and holidays.
Floating policy: Regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU
Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, Safety rounding
Must have Labor and Delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment. Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.
Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)
Certifications Required: Fetal Monitoring training
Dress code: Pink and/or brown scrubs required per the infant security policy for the unit.
