Requirements
Experience
12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
12 months of Progressive Care Unit experience is required from any number of months.
BSN completion preferred
Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
References

Unit Specific Details:
- 18 bed Unit
- Patients are often down graded from Intensive Care, upgraded from inpatient units and admitted due to increased monitoring from the ER. There are patients with sudden or chronic illness, stroke CHF, DKA, Respiratory distress etc.
- Drips: insulin drips, no titrating cardiac drips, heparin drips
- Devises used: BIPAP, Hiflo, Wound Vacs
Every other weekend and holiday
This position requires monitoring of patients who need more care than medical/telemetry inpatient units but less than intensive care
6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
Critical Care Course (preferred)
Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide is provided)
