Requirements

Experience

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

24 months of Pediatric Emergency Department experience is required with some in the last 24 months.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

References

No Block Scheduling requests Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.

Flu Vaccine: Exemption due to egg allergy is not acceptable.

Guaranteed Hours: 36

7p-7a, every other weekend rotation.

Holiday Coverage Required: Yes

Pediatric ER - required minimum of two years ‘strong pediatric or strong er w/pediatric patient population experience.

This is a very busy 23 bed Pediatric ER department, receiving minor to high level acuity patient population with age range of newborn to age 17, open 24/7. The average daily patient flow is 65 patients/day and the department may have contact caring for COVID patients.

Pediatric Trauma patients will be referred to the main 'adult' ER. Strong pediatric assessment, IV, lab draw skills required.

Our 1000 bed facility houses a 55-bed adult ER receiving Level I trauma patients.

Candidates must take and pass Basic Dysrrhythmia, and general Medication tests on first day.
