Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required skills and experience: Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
Required credentials: Required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Prior to acceptance, the dys exam through relias is required along with acceptance. Must be completed within 24-48 hrs. It’s pass or fail and they get 2 attempts (test a should be assigned first, test b should be assigned for the retake). A screenshot showing the number of attempts is required. We can accept the Relias Dys exam within the last 12mo if the traveler has previously taken. If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and Sac.
Shift & schedule requirements: Every other weekend. Holidays: Rotate in with core staff. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves "available" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available.
Floating requirements: Will be expected to float to sister facilities as well as the MedSurg unit at Woodland, as needed. All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. First to Float.
