All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
Required Skills and Experience: Level III experience. Antibiotics/Antivirals, APGAR scoring, Developmental Care, Patient/family teaching, Phlebotomy, Thermoregulation, Arterial line management, Central line blood draw, Starting and maintaining IVs, UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter), Attend High Risk Deliveries, NICU III, Blood glucose monitoring, Phototherapy, Breastfeeding Support/Handling of Breast Milk, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Isolation Precautions, Management of Chest Tubes, Meconium Aspiration, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Neonates 29-34 weeks
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. Drivers License/State ID. Government-Issued Photo ID. BLS Must be AHA (Instructor, Provider, or RQI) or “Heart&Stroke” certification from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation ONLY. NRP - AAP, AHA or Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).
Shift & Scheduling Requirements: Weekends and On Call Required.
Floating Requirements: Candidates will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospitals near by
Special Request Requirements: RTO must be listed at time of submission.
